How to Change Drive Letters in Windows

How to change drive letter in windows.

If you want to change your F: drive name to Z drive or any other dirve.
Presss window button and R -> you will get the run option.
type diskmgmt.msc
-> disk management window will open
-> Select the drive which you want to change
just right click on the drive. You will see the option change drive letter or path.
Just click on that. A seperate window will open in that you have three option add, change or delete. Just click on change and select the new drive name, then click okay.....

Thats it.. you have changed the drive name.....

How to shutdown windows quickly

1) Open REGEDIT and navigate to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\'
Highlight the 'waitTokillApptimeout' value.
set it to '1000'
Now highlight the HungAppTimeout' Value
Set it to '1000' also.

2) Open Regedit and navigate to
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\'
Highlight the value 'waitTokillServiceTimeout'
Change this value to '1000'
This should help to considerably speed up the time windows XP takes to shut itself down.

3) Open Regedit and navigate to 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Highlight the value 'AutoEndTasks'
Change the value to '1'
XP will now able to close hung applications without user input during the shutdown process.

4) Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
change the value of ClearPageFileAtshutdown to 0. close the Registry, and restart your computer, Whenever you turn off XP from now On, the paging file won't be cleared, and you
should be able to shut down more quickly.
